Well we set off from all over to head to Kadina. Our destination for the first night was Narrandera, where we were going to meet up with most of the crew.  I met Hooky & Rossco at Gil and we set off into some uncomfortable riding. We came through drizzle mostly, which was not enough to clean the roads and made them just plain slippery and then the last hour or so we ran into hard rain which was just right to make the day a well rounded one. Weary and wet we pulled in to the Narrandera Hotel where Drew, Les, Lee and Sharon and Glen were waiting for us. The first drink hit the spot soon after and a good feed later we were bullet-proof again! Gina even arrived to harass us and things were beginning to take shape.

Next day we headed for Renmark and it was here that Wagga, Barney, Jerry and Als caught up to us. The riding was better, well, make that boring, but dry. Some hit hay early, some late. As a group we were now in South Aussie and it wasn't far now into Kadina.

Bout lunchtime we arrived and found our resting place in the form of the Wombat Hotel. No palace but the tucker was good, the showers good and the bed made...couldn't work out what price we were paying for our drinks cause every shout, even though the same ,was different every time. Interesting, but hey, wasn't bad so who cared.

Well, the rally itself. What can I say. It was like most other HOG rallies. After all it's the ride there that counts.

Again as we have become used to at these things, the food was a bone of contention. I felt sorry for the poor girl that organised it all by herself the first night and had to hide the second night. That just shouldn't happen. After more than 10 years of holding these things surely HOG could come up with a set of guidelines. It's not easy juggling between too expensive and bloody awful but some do it well. Mansfield for example, well done. Someone get their formula!!!!!!

Anyway, Sunday came and we all hit the road for home. We dispersed into different groups with about half heading for Balranald to watch the League grand final. Rossco, Jen and I came home via Adelaide, Mt Gambier, the Great Ocean Road, Melbourne, Sydney etc. The Central Coast contingent were taking a week off so they would still be putting rubber on the road.

Oh yeh, amazing how your past can catch up to you. Sat night I found this little bugger at ma door. Sheeeeeeeeeeesh! Naturally I drop kicked him down the hall. Didn't have a spare helmet was ma excuse.

Next HOG Rally? Tis in Victoria at Castlemaine. Can't make it but already some of the others are gearing up for it.
