AJ arrived in Walgett on Thursday afternoon after a long hard ride. Friday afternoon arrived and another big dust storm hit making the four of us really keen to ride and eat grit.  Like all good riders do we sucked it up and AJ, Splity, Rowdy and myself saddled up for Gunnedah.  We picked up Dunny in Narrabri. A night at the Railway hotel and a bed at Pat’s saw us ready for the Weabonga leg.   What a track!!!  Got to the rally site; encountered fencing wire around the front tyre.   Set up camp and entered the bikes in the show.   Around 30 in all, lots of Russians and plenty of attention to detail.   Dunny won Best European.

The evening passed around a huge camp fire with lots of yarns and grog.   The rain began during the night and Dunny headed for cover under his trailer.   AJ headed for home early but not before giving Rowdy the morning wake up call, (warming his bike in the doorway until the voice emerged with the usual pleasantries).  A few of the usual bike events started around 3pm.    I came second in the ladies slow race.   A fair bit of fun was had on Splity’s Spider.  I think the pictures probably say it all.

More rain and things are getting pretty slippery.   Rode out around 10 and Rowdy had an interesting time going up the grassy bank to get out of the ground.   Harleys going backwards under their own steam is a bit scary from the onlookers point of view.

All got home safe sound...many thanks to Dale for the additional photo's.
