What a gorgeous day Friday turned out to be! We all gathered up at the BP... Tallie, Rowdy and Kate and myself ready to ride off to Gunnedah for the night, as we didn't leave until 4.30pm we thought it would be best to stop there for the night and catch up with Ferg and Liz. Splitpin had left earlier that afternoon so we thought we would catch up with him in Narrabri but when arriving at Burren what should we see in the distance at the pub????? A yellow trike!!!! Oh well guess he was feeling a little dry. So stopped at the watering hole for a bit, not that we rode far enough!!! On our bikes again and off we go, Splitpin's bike was playing up a little but he got it under control and as I was riding off well I forgot to put my sunny's on so lost them when Slip's back tyre kinda squished over them. Just getting into Narrabri, the back way, not far to go and Tallie and I are on reserve would you believe...thank God Rowdy had a jerry can to top us both up! Fueled up and ready to roll again after everyone had a quick snack as well.

Gunnedah here we come. Got to Pat's place and rung Ferg up to pick us up, thanks Ferg your a legend only got in with the skin of our teeth for a feed. Great catching up with the cats along the way but we tried not to make it too big a night still had a bit of a run ahead in the morning so early night we had.

Up and at em and the phone is ringing off the hook, Spider was running late and will catch us in Tamworth, Mond is nearly there 'wait for me' he says. We went to a small coffee shop after Fu rang repeatedly to tell us to get our act together before the sun went down, Fu was having some breaky when we got there. Time??? No didn't hear anyone call out oh well guess we are having too much fun never mind got all day to get there I guess. After filling up with coffee, breakfast, fuel and off course money we were off again to Tamworth to meet up with Spider and the cats are growing as we go...

Into Tamworth Spider catches us along the way, I guess he couldn't wait for us there so off we go onto to Walcha. Fuel bikes up say goodbye to Spider (responsibilities!) Witch run here we come.

Where here! Crispy is there to greet us and show us where the best spot is to camp, not too far from the important stuff!!!! Before we could settle and get our swags organised Rowdy, Mond and Splitpin decided to put their bikes in the comp. Well the Wildcats cleaned up today, we got a second for Splitpin's trike and a FIRST for Rowdy's bike and trailer Combo and lo and behold Rowdy' s bike got best bike of the show! After purchasing a few tickets amongst us we all picked up a few little prizes on the night. Not sure if they were trying to tell me something but Mond and Tallie were bringing back bars of soap and giving them to me reckon there wasn't anything else there to pick out?????? Great night, band was playing all night lllooonnnggg!!!! (must be getting old) great day! good tucker! beautiful night! couldn't have asked for better weather. Oh well I guess we better turn around and head back home again...

Onward to home we go...would have loved to stay a bit longer, wish the weekends were like three days long.

Coming up to Walcha just 2 ks short from getting into town, our big fella Rowdy decided to have a closer look at the bitumen only because he works on the shire and I guess our roads need so much attention back home probably trying to find out what their secret was cause their roads were in a better state than ours, anyway yep he has had a buster! A big one at that we didn't really know until the next day just how bad things were. He has broken a few ribs, cuts on hands and lost a few front teeth but the worst of all is that he will not be able to walk again. Walcha hospital was really good getting him flown out with westpac chopper so quickly and I will have to say a very big THANK YOU to Crispy and Spook for driving Slip down to Newcastle and thank you to everyone else who helped on the day.

Wish it had ended a better than it did but apart from that we ALL had a great time on the Witch Run thanks Crispy.
