We threw a leg over complete with wet weather gear and set out in what we thought was about the best set in rain Tamworth had seen for many a long time. 30ks later we rode out of it and about  150 kms along the way we had to pull up and lose it cause we were sauna suited out! But all good when we rode into the big smoke that night. Saturday morning a detour via a bike shop saw us late to the departure point. Thought we had plenty of time....but not to be so we took a shortcut to the first stop and bought our cards there. Wasn't long after the main group  rode in and we started to catch up with a few familiar faces. Hospitality plus all the way and some of the prettiest country to ride in there is. Then on the bikes and off to the pub at Robertson.

Another warm reception in the manner of a log fire and wasn't it appreciated. Colder than a witch's tit but all good. A bit of road spray but wasn't worth putting the wets on for. In fact all weekend it threatened to wet us, but other than the first day we didn't put our wets on again. We left Robertson and headed through Bowral and Mittagong where we picked up a bus load of Central Coasters who looked like they'd been there a while, and rolled in to our next stop a bit warmer. There must have been a car show close by. Some very nice early models did a parade past us. On the bikes again and back to Reed's place for the rest of the party.

We rolled in and set up camp and then just let it all happen. The B-B-Qs were going and they even raffled one. The cooks did themselves proud and the band lit up and the party went on with a few diehards seeing the rise of the sun.

Daylight saw us packed up and we rolled back into the country music capital a bit after lunch. Worn-out but happy and looking for the next ride.

Thanks to Reed and his crew for all their work. Was a top effort! Thanks too to Mel and Billy for the camera work.  Don't miss this one next year people. Open to all riders it's just going to get bigger and bigger. Mark it in your calendars now!
