Our Slopes and Plains chapter were ready to roll at 10am and already it was hot.  With sunscreen coated on it was a very welcome relief to get up into the hills and the cooler air. A quick stop at Walcha and it wasn't long before we found ourselves at the roundabout at Gloucester enjoying an aircon amber assisted lunch. Nothing to do and all day to do it, it just doesn't get much better. Hit the road again and it was only early afternoon that we rolled into Harrington and found Gina there with our tent sites organised. We got out of our riding gear and bared some shockingly white legs (well I did anyway) and slipped into Christmas mode. A few quiet ones later at different locations round the park, we hit the club to do what we do so well.

Saturday dawned and the sunshine was very bright, but hey, it was going to be another good one. About 10 of us threw a leg over the bikes and went for a look around. A slab and and a few kilos of prawns later and it was time to check out some very handy paint work. Some rippers in there! The pictures tell the story.

And then the old guy in the red suit arrived to the delight of the kids there. He even got a few of the older ones excited as well.

Then it was silly bugger time. Amazing the fun you can have with a couple of old sacks. Guess that's what it's all about!

As day slipped into night we all put on our best faces......well, was a definite improvement for most of us!.....and headed for the Christmas Party at the Club. It was a mask party and there were some beauties there! Thought the *Mutton Dressed as Lamb* should have been a winner but she went shy on us at the end! A good feed and the formalities got under way. Mask judging, tattoo show winners, yearly awards and Loyalty Patches were handed out to some worthy few. Congratulations to Wendy, Drew and Les.......recognition thoroughly deserved!

Got back just in time to have a storm bear down on us. Seemed bloody close in the little tent I can tell you. Sunday we rolled and loaded our gear and headed home. This time we rode into cold drizzle. What a difference it was from the run down. Off the hill and back into sunshine we rolled into town tired but happy......what a year...and it's just gone all too fast!

Well done CCAMC as usual and thanks again for the hospitality.
