Well Fungus dipped his thumbnail in tar and sent us an email letter thingo, saying get to this *poker run* and gave us the wrong date as well....but hey...we got the idea, and besides, it'd been a while since we'd seen him and it only seemed fair he copped at least 3 years of flack that he'd missed out on.

So a few of the 'cats loaded their dice and threw a leg over the bikes and headed up the road a bit for Cooee country. Having partied with some of the Sydney Bikers Australia crew on different occasions over the years, we reckoned it was a pretty safe bet that this was going to be a good one too.

On arrival Friday night we all asked the same question...... WTFF???? (Where the F*#k is Fungus?) Fungus couldn't be found....but what the hell...we just settled into the Tatts and had a quiet evening and met a good group from Aberdeen. Thanks for your company guys.

The morning light was very bright the next day and we were dragging the tails a bit, but we turned up and registered for the run around. Now if you are going to do a dice or a poker run it pays to keep Lady Luck on your side. Some even have little things like rabbits feet or horseshoes.......chrome plated horseshoes even...and who are we to doubt such things......so we smirked a bit when we saw it......but honest Col we didn't doubt it for a second!

BA Gil boss David and his crew did a great job of keeping it all going and we hit the road out of Gil at the advertised 9am.

We rolled in to the Biker Cafe in Dubbo and had a quick coffee and picked up a few more and wasn't long again till about 60 bikes and 4 trikes rolled out and headed for the wild and wicked west.......well...that's what they reckoned.

The next roll of the dice was at the Royal Hotel at Narromine and bugger me, there he was. WFF....We Found Fungus. Gotta admit he likes to think outside the square and his windscreen between the apes was an interesting touch. But anyway, from there till he left us we gave him heaps.

(The photos are all thumbnails so usual deal, click on them to enlarge.)

On the bikes again and a quick run out to the Imperial at Trangie. The pace picked up a bit and the pack nearly caught up to a couple of 1950's machines that gave everyone a bit of a heart start on inspecting them. Damn, those were the days......good one guys.

More raffles and we mounted up and off to Warren where the Golf Club had lunch for us. Was here that a lot of us refuelled and with full tanks we kicked off over the levee bank and headed to Collie. Yet another raffle and a few more lubricants and it was just a quick blat back into Gil and back to the Tats where mine host put on a free feed for us.

The prizes were handed out and bugger me if Col with the lucky horseshoe on his tank, didn't win the day, pocketing a cool $500 for his quick flick of the wrist. Some well made trophies were handed out as well as well as prizes for the highest roll at each stop.

Next morning saw us back at the Tats for some bacon and eggs and it was from here we left for the short ride home. It was just all too easy.

Thanks guys for a great run. Thoroughly enjoyable and congratulations on the manner in which it was conducted.

Another one to put on the calendar next year. Just as an aside, Gilgandra Motel also said they wanted to do something for it next year in the way of accommodation, so think ahead and book early!

Cheers guys and thanks again!
