Ride4difference 2008 (NSW); Saturday May 3rd 2008
How about riding your bike, trike, scooter or whatever, onto the main arena of the Sydney showground? You can! This year instead of the car park area we have secured the Sydney showground main arena as our muster point. This premier venue means much more media attention for the ride so Come On!! Lets fill it with bikes of all types. We will ride from here to Harbord Diggers. If riders can register on the web this will help us to better organise the day. There will be a major prize draw for those who take the time to register. In past years I have asked for a $25 donation This year I am asking riders to seek their own sponsorship from friends, workmates, etc. this should help us to raise more much needed funds. If you don’t want to seek sponsors then the $25 donation will be fine too.AWA has donated a 42” LCD TV that will be presented to the individual that raises the most sponsorship amount. You have 2 months to raise funds so lets make this our best year yet.Details of meeting points etc are on the website. www.ride4difference.com.au Open and print flyers sponsorship forms etc. Please pass this email on to anyone you can. Regards Carl Glover Organiser.

Visiting Innisfail Special School. If you are looking for a holiday destination to extend your poker run, enjoy scenic Atherton Tablelands and visit the numerous attractions. Arrangements are in place with groups for catering. Meals will be pre-paid with three classes: - both dinner and breakfast, dinner only, or breakfast only. We are not arranging for casual meals, all venues are within 1.5kms of towns. Current expectations are that meals will be very similar to what was served last year. We require two more members to join the Poker Run Committee (8 people), and take on the co-ordinating roles for meal markers and give aways. We are also asking members to register their name to volunteer some of their time over the course of the run to help with manning the poker hand tables, mark off meal sheets, selling raffle tickets and do the give aways. Those with Blue Cards are asked to give rides and marshal at schools and also at the afternoon rides for the children and adults. The saying: 'many hands make light work' will ensure that those organising the run enjoy it as much as everyone else. To help please contact Tank or Gail on 49417205, Tank 0427417205, Gail 0438417205 or E-mail: gailtank@bigpond.com |
