Friday 16th Feb

We left Walgett about 8am with with a good contingent and even had a support vehicle.

It was a beautiful morning to be on the road, we added a member in  Coonamble and headed to Dubbo where we picked up another  and then visited a member who is recuperating in Dubbo base hospital after collecting a roo the previous week, suffering a Pneumothorax for his efforts. The chauffer came off worse than Trixi, she sustained minor cuts and bruises and no doubt was a bit shaken up.

His bike is brand new not yet 500ks on the clock.

On to Macquarie Inn for lunch then on our way again heading into some stormy weather a few sharp showers and drizzle most of the way to Cowra, was this our former Rain God's glory revisited?

Arrived at Cowra in good time, found our cabin and settled into the fun. At the first pub we came too, guess what, everyone was there! It’s always good to meet up with Wildcats from all over.

After a quick scout round the pubs in the main street sampling their wares it was off for a feed.   Managed to not get ourselves thrown out of the restaurant though we were in the company of others that have in the past harassed the waitresses of the restaurant and gotten them selves thrown out, not mentioning any names.

We then moved on to the Rebels clubhouse where we found ourselves very welcome, a good show was put on by the guys at the clubhouse. Piston Broken played some good music that we rocked to and an exotic dancer performed and showed off her many talents with vegies.

Getting back to the pub we headed straight for a couple of games of pool as we usually  do when out with the cats (or not).  They had the locals lining up their coins for a game of doubles which were played well into the night.

Saturday morning we walked up to the information centre where we had our breakfast.

A couple of cats headed off in the support vehicle to find a new tyre for one of the bikes as he had made the trip with canvas exposed, they had to travel to Bathurst to get a new one as there were none in Cowra.

The Cowra bike shop was very obliging and helpful as it was getting late in the day and running out of time to have the repairs done they stayed open to do the work for Tallie.

The girls hit the shops and enjoyed the passing parade of bikes, reverberations echoing through the Cowra streets all morning.

The boys got back and had the new tyre fitted. It was off to the Cowra Showground to check out the show.

Cool bikes and Cars were on display, model aeroplanes were in flight.  And back to the pub we go.....  more cats arrived from Bathurst way and the rest of the Walgett contingency showed up in the late afternoon.

Craig the manager of the caravan park, rang the courtesy bus people and it ferried us all too and from the show ground which was a great idea. Thanks Craig for making the call and thanks to those that organised it.

Happy Hour a band from the ACT made some good noise and the night wound into gear. Then Piston Broke came back and gave us another hit of their music as well.

Our girl Keira won the crowd over in the dry t-shirt competition winning her self $150.00.  So back to the pub we go.... by-passing sniffer dogs and a huge police presence.

More fun, drinking, pool and mingling an altogether great weekend

We would like to thank a few groups, thanks to the Rebels for the warm welcome into their hallowed halls.

Cowra motorcycles & power equipment where great for extending their hours to allow for the new tyre to be fitted.

Craig and Michelle Constable at Cowra van Park looked after us and our gear thanks Craig as he even offered all the kids free passes into the aquatic centre.  We recommend this as a real biker friendly place.

Catch you all on the next run.

Puss and KB xxxxx
