Where the Fark is Eugowra? 2002
![]()
Find Parkes, Forbes and Canowindra NSW on the map and in the
middle is Eugowra....that's where the fark it is. And the annual Truck, Bike and
Car Show is easy found by the rising smoke. I got there about midday and Rosco and Jen turned up
not long after. We're
still looking down the road for the others. After erections we
wandered over
to enjoy the show in perfect weather.
The burnouts were going non-stop. They chewed rubber right up till dark. I saw about 20 different tintops do their best and most of them went through multiple sets of rear rubber. No stopping after one bang, these guys laid em out till both rears went every time. They roared, overheated, blew hoses and dropped oil, threw sparks and chunks of burning rubber everywhere they could and even a couple caught fire. Good stuff!
Not a huge number of bikes in the show but the quality was outstanding. The Boss Hoss with it's V8 350 Chev walked away with the big trophy but it hadda be close. A blown Wide Glide, the well known FCKNLW and a chequered flag painted softail, along with a number of others musta made it hard for the judges. Bugga, I had my money on the Harley-Decker mini bike.....shit happens. The Boss Hoss laid some rubber as well just to celebrate the victory.
They had a pretty handy tattooist going all day doing some Wicked Ink work and a couple of guys with airbrushes painting any kinda body that came along including 2 girls. And an artist had his work on display. Some terrific drawings anyone that reads Live to Ride would recognise amongst them. Talented people!
The bar was going well and it didn't cost an arm and a leg, good stuff! The usual local steak sandwich and plenty of vans selling good variety kept the worms happy.
The line up of cars were pretty damn handy too with a red Holden ute taking the day. Shit hot with even a Playstation in it!! everyone wanted one....but fark...$75,000????? Some 'rods there very pretty too and a couple of very original Monaros that made you smile, fought it out for the honours......like the bikes, not many in numbers, bout 20, but outstanding quality every one of them.
The truck
line-up was a credit to the guys that rolled em in too.
Some great paint and they had them from the heavies right down to a very nicely
painted lightweight vintage.
Wasn't hard spending time there and a good rollup of trade stalls selling all kindsa gizmos etc. and a mini sideshow setup to keep the kids happy.
After the first band did it's stuff and the light had faded out came the supersoakers and the t-shirts were made wet. Shit.....where did all these girls come from? 'bout 15 good sports made the guys laugh, yell and drool. The winners very worthy! A fun event as always and no matter the size or shape we all appreciated each and every one of them! About this time a couple of streakers on a bike (won't mention any names Geoff so don't worry) did a roar through the crowd......all good fun and worth a cheer and another beer or two.
Band #2 came out, Home Brew Jack and pounded out some great ole faithful vibes and we were treated to a guest appearance by one of the Acka Dacka guys...a mean geeeeeetarist!
Time for the strippers to strut their stuff, and the boys and more than a few appreciative ladies again pressed in close as a Miss Nude Tasmania finalist started the show off. Three lovely ladies did their revue and left a smile on many a dial.

Into the early hours went the third band! These southern boys and girls know how to run a party!
We hit the road Sunday morning when the alarm went off in the form of a ripper explosion which set off every car alarm on the grounds.
Well done Eugowra...now we know where the fark you are!
