Below are a few pics of the near complete bike! Take note of the sponsors! Support them if you can 'cause they are supporting one of our own!

Heres what's been done!

Start with a brand new Honda VTR SP1 then add Ohlins rear suspension, Ohlins steering damper, Gold Valved front forks, adjustable rear sets (foot pegs for added ground clearance), high compression pistons, (Vee Two do all the engine work in Western Australia. Top mob if you want a Vee Twin to go like stink). Full Titanium headers with Arrow slip ons. Power commander to override the standard computer. Change the sprockets and chain, geared for greater top end speed. Original flaring and all plastics removed and replaced with lighter fibreglass 2 piece flaring. Painted in race colours, slick tyres, scull valve caps placed on valve tit (Ha!). Pit crew for eastern creek SMITHY!!!

The bike itself has done 1000ks prior to doing the motor up (Dredge rode it to Long Flat and drank copious amounts of piss with Farbio, Pat, Ferg,  Liz and Smithy. Then around a 1000ks on the dyno. Then Dredge has done one race at Eastern Creek (pics below)  where it was run in. That's about its history at present. The speedo shows 2400ks all up. From here on in it will probably do another 2400ks upside down with Farbio on it.

At present, with the setup as above, it is putting out around 138 nags at the rear wheel (The dam thing flies). This was on the dyno at Sydney. Check out the bus used as a transporter and the other race bikes along with Farbio's (22 which will change to we think 29), with Dredge on board on its debut race at http://www.ambtiming.com . They have some good photos there.

Now a run down on the race team

John McDonald (Team Manager):

Darren Dredge:

Hopefully his bike will be ready for Eastern Creek. It is still being worked on by Vee Two in W.A. Bike: 748R Ducati  in the 799 to 1300cc Class. History: Sidecar racing 95 to 96 A grade state champion. Races in C grade won 1st place at Wakefield Park in March

Rod Day:

Bike 748R Ducati races D Grade experience in Go Carts Teka enduro Champion with D Dredge in 2001.

Farbio:

Bike VTR SP1 1000cc V Twin Honda D  Grade novice 799 to 1300cc class, easily eligible for  Wood Duck of the week. Experience None can ride flat out in straight line.

All up so far this year the team has had one 1st and one 2nd place. Not bad considering there just getting going.

Below is a transcript of my interview with Farbio.

Duds: Do you know what ya doing mate?

Farbio: No

End of Interview.

Will be in Sydney on Monday so hope to go to a training session out there where a few more kinks will hopefully be ironed out for the big debut on the 16th!

I find a lot of this fascinating and as I know absolutely nothing, the little things I see I will try and pass on. Some of you might find it a bit mundane. Like this one. I was amazed at the amount of little rubber flakes on Farbio's slicks that the hot tyres had picked up from the racetrack. Now I know why the warmup. Not only to get the tyres to temperature so they hang on better but to flick those little things off too. Ok...mundane to a lot of you, but just another thing Jo Bloggs like me don't appreciate.
