Gina is renowned for never doing things by half, so when the date of her 40th birthday party rolled round on the calendar, there was no way we were going to miss it.

Well known for her somewhat eclectic tastes in interior decorating, Gina had used the same formula with her guest list, with the end result that a diverse group turned up at her house to party on. A strong contingent of bikers, including H.O.G., A,M,C., Just Girls, Wildcats and reps from a couple of other clubs, had lobbed in from as far away as Queensland and the more remote parts of NSW, Gina’s family members, daughter Emma’s friends and a smattering of local people and neighbours then filled out the rest of the list.

Thus the scene was set for a good night, Martin the Stickerman had set his mobile shop up and stickers appropriate to the event were appearing on doors and windows, plates of cheese and other nibbles kept the stomachs occupied as the aroma of meat for the main meal escaped from the spit roast. The pool table was seeing a lot of action as were the lids of a lot of eskies, with balls being sunk at about the same rate as drinks the mood was just right for the band to fire up and the food to be served.

The feeding frenzy over, and a few more drinks saw the jelly wrestling comp start, I have got no idea who won, but someone said she tasted nice, sort of raspberry I believe. More pool, some fireworks, nibbling on leftovers and bullshitting to your mates saw midnight come and go and at about 2 o’clock in the morning Kaz and I hit the sack and left the die-hards to party on.

Sunrise over the lakes heralded another day, followed on by a hearty breakfast and then on to packing the tents up, mid-morning saw the party-goers slowly thinning out as they said their goodbyes and headed home.. all up, one hell of a good party, and a huge effort put in by Gina..

Thanks Gina, you did really well.

Same again for the 50th ????
