Manilla Rally - as seen through the eyes of the Hefalump.

The ELLIphant ?????Report

There I was, trunk packed, ready to go, on the games table at Annie & Patrick‘s house.  Waiting,  waiting,  waiting and still F$%*@#g waiting to be scooped up by Palmer for the ride to Philip Island..  NOT… They left me behind, could you believe that Palmer, of all humans, has betrayed me! Me the Hefalump!

hefalump1.jpg (21182 bytes)What was I to do? Quick as a shot I climbed down the games table and ran as fast as my trunk would pull me along the ground to the front door only to find them gone, that’s right gone and gone without me……

I cried on the driveway and dragged my way down the road crying all the way.  Luckily Nicole followed my wet truck prints and picked me up and held me close to her…”It’s all right Hefalump, you need a change, come with me”, For a kid she sure has class and style and can make a pink tutu look real neat.  This isn’t bad, looks good, feels good, I can handle a bit of a sex change for the weekend….

Annie and the kids consoled me during the week ahead and even made me a new friend out of a sweet potato. His name was GOGGO and he was kind on a orange colour. Didn’t say much, one of those quite types.  Annie had promised to take me to Manilla and true to her word she was (not like Palmer!!!!).  hefalump2.jpg (43783 bytes)

On Friday we packed the bike and about 4 pm we left.  I was sitting quite comfortable on the Virago, its amazing the feeling you get when the wind rushes up your tutu, mummmm pure delight, rather than having to lock and load when you travel with Palmer.  We arrived at about 5.30 pm and proceeded to have a look around.

Lizz had bought a mate of hers along, his name was Spiros.  He was a bit bent but he had the biggest ears I’ve ever seen on an elephant and his was pretty good with his trunk (if you know what I mean)……So I was early in bed and didn’t really catch up on much that night (gee I hope no one heard me scream).

Saturday night was a bit of a different story, with Spiros to tired, he decided to hang out on Annie car wipers for a while, so Millsie and Lizz took me for a bit of a walk to check out the talent.  I got the chance to take a Harley for a test ride, look at a new nose ring and Millsie found me a new appropriate t-shirt.  I even picked up a bit of male fluff while looking around. Not much to look at, but I loved the way he kissed my trunk….............

The girls did try and talk me into going in the wet t-shirt competition, but Goog said that he was there to ensure that no Ellephant would misbehave. Anyway, it was a bit of a no contest as every one knows that as an Elle I would put the other girls to shame!  A few of the Wildcats curled up in their dens a bit early probably from over indulging on Friday night??????

Sunday morning was a bit slippery, (not Kate), due to a bit of rain the night before, thanks to the rain god (Duddy).  All bikes were moved without falling, although Tally needed a bit of assistance as he reached the top of the hill, and Lizz’s new you beaut ute had a bit of a slip and slide (just as well she got Goog to get it out or she would still be there).   But the real “On Yar Award” has to go the Annie who accidentally (so she tells us) lost her keys to the bike, on yar Annie.  So the Virago was loaded onto Shane’s ute, tied down to travel back to Gunnedah.  It was time for me to have a quick coffee, toasted sandwich and off to bed for the afternoon.manilla01hefalump.jpg (16069 bytes)

See when it comes down to it, you just cannot rely on Palmer. The girls know how to look after me!!! and I think this sex change thing might be a pretty good wicket. - “now if I can just find somebody to finance the “trund tuck” operation..............
