The WWWW Tassie Tiger Trip

A
few pics to get us started as there's more to come!
Headed off on the Thursday and made the boat on the Saturday with 13 of us doing the run round and 2 others from Tamworth joined us for the crossing and met up with us again in Hobart.
Had a bit of a disaster when one of Melbourne's notorious tram tracks reached out and threw a rider. Slippery little suckers!
Arrived Devonport and a quick blat to Burnie for the night in the dark unfortunately missing a scenic run but the Irish bar was a good one! Saddled up and hit the road to Stanley for a look then doubled back for the run down to Queenstown. Fantastic roads all the way and some great corners, sweeps and dives. All good. Cold, intermittent showers but overall was just plain fun!
Had a day of sightseeing out of Queenstown with some of us hitting the Georges River cruise, some doing the Abt railway but all of us doing the pub in Queenstown when we got back. One big fella had a funny look on his face when the local china man handed him his meal with just 2 prawns on the plate but we all had a good laugh from the look on his face!
Day 4 saw us heading to Hobart. Left one waiting for parts but he had a good run and was only an hour after us. Wet and slippery to start with and something like 90 35km/h corners in the first 15 ks to get us in mode. The big fella broke a throttle cable but it didn't seem to upset him. Off he went with cable in hand and no way was he having us catching him! A clever bit of riding over mountain ranges and then finishing in city traffic! But the event of the day was when we turned in to get a look at Lake St Clair. A little speed bump had a few Wandering Walgett Wildcats wondering which way Wayne went! He locked up, put on a bit of a this is how you slide type show and came back upright. Hit a bikers Cafe/bar that night. If your ever there look it up. (Will do a link later).
We all went different ways the next day, some doing the sights of Hobart Town, some to Port Arthur and again the Irish Pub across the road did well out of us and a few braved the bike Cafe again that night.
Thursday saw us heading up the east coast to Scamander Beach. Pulled into Richmond and did the tourist thing there. A few did Port Arthur that didn't get the chance the day before, but we all hit the motel about the same time tired but happy.
Friday and we split again. Half made a dash for Launceston to get a few bike jobs done and a few went round the top checking out a winery and the cheese factory on the way. We all got to Devonport no worries and got on the boat Sat morning.
From Melbourne we headed home. What a good run! Tassie roads are just so damn good!
