Walgett Annual Bike Show 2008
|
|
Well
hasn't the year come around quickly. The Walgett show here and gone already.
What a beautiful two days it was we could not have asked for more perfect
weather. Once again this year we had a great number of entries for the Bike
Show and also a good show of kids this year, all up we had 34 bikes registered
and out of those there were four kids all told. It was well judged by our
judges this year, may I take this opportunity to thank them. Two were locals
Paul Newton and Katie Hook (psycho) and the third judge was B.J. Brice Bike
and Bits from Dubbo who also had a great display of items at his stall at the
Walgett Show.

I would like to also thank very much our sponsors for this year as I know
how hard it has been for everyone in the past few years to contribute to
any cause so a big thankyou to:

Elders Walgett Cafe 64 Walgett Bob Jane T Mart Narrabri Frank Spice Forbes |
Walgett Builders Hardware B.P. Service Station Walgett Bilary Nursery Wee Waa Robnson Concrete Walgett |
Paul Newton

All were a very big help to
keep the bike show going this year if it wasn't for our sponsors we would
not be able to make this happen.
I hope that everyone had a great time, (I know I did) shame there
wasn't any camera's around that night there was a wildcat climbing a tree
for some wood that night!
I would also like to take the opportunity to thank those involved in
running the bike show as it does take a lot of organising as well as time
to put together. Last but not least I would like to thank those who
travelled as far from Bateman's Bay, Coonabarabran, Walcha and Gilgandra.
That is a long way to come and support our bike show so a big thankyou to
you all. If it wasn't for all our entrants there would not be a bike show
at all thankyou all everyone. Hope to see more of you next year.
K.B.
Many thanks to Puss and Donna from B.A. Gilgandra for their photo contributions.
